As the Community of West Chester and Liberty Township continues to grow we see the need for grief support in our community. As our community becomes the new corridor for hospitals and medical facilities the need for grief support continues to grow.

Of the bereaved in our community, ~1400 people seek help through grief support. Many are not sure where to turn and the others can be due to the person’s nature. In order to reach out to the larger population of bereaved in our community we realize that we need to create ways to help them.

Many of the services Companions on a Journey offers are individualized to the type of grief someone is experiencing. By supporting individuals who are grieving and assuring them that they are not alone we help those that will help us grow as a community organization and create a healthy community.
