SUMMARY:Caring for the Grieving Soul - 6 Week Summer Grief Course
DESCRIPTION:Grief is an injury to the soul affecting one’s mind\, body\, and spirit. Although grief looks different for everyone\, self-care is often neglected. Self-care is important to maintain overall mental\, emotional\, and physical health. When traveling with children on an airplane\, parents and guardians are told to place the oxygen mask on themselves first and then assist the children. Traveling on a grief journey is very similar; we must take care of ourselves first. \n\n\nCaring for the Grieving Soul is open to all adults who have experienced any type of loss. Space is limited to 15 participants. Registered participants must be able to attend at least five out of the six sessions.  The course will meet on Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. in our Conference Room* starting on June 22\, 2023.  Meeting dates: 6/22\, 6/29\, 7/13\, 7/20\, 7/27\, and 8/3. \n(*Note\, conference room is located in the basement level and not handicap accessible).  \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Click Here to Register

It was important to them to be there for their mom\, COJ’s Founder and Executive Director Sheila Munafo-Kanoza\, who was their rock when their father Vince died in 1993. \n2021 also marked the 7th year for COJ’s golf outing. Originating as an idea of Mike’s\, he hoped to generate funding for COJ and to raise awareness of the importance and need for grief support.
