SUMMARY:Grief Training for Professionals
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce our first grief training for professionals who work with adults or children. The CEU credits are available to social workers. \n\nParticipants will learn the basics of grief and the grief journey\, and explore how to interact with grieving individuals in an effective manner.\nAn overview of grief will be discussed as well as common cognitive\, physical\, and emotional symptoms of grief.\nParticipants will learn why the experience of grief is unique for each individual and situation.\nHelpful practices for working with grieving individuals will be presented.\n\nThis training event will be at the COJ office. Spots limited. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Morning of Hope Breakfast Fundraiser on November 28!  We are pleased to have Steve and Julie Raleigh as the featured speakers. They will share their grief journey following the death of their beloved daughter Madi\, which led them to open Madi’s House to serve young adults suffering from mental illness or addiction. \nThe fundraiser is open to all with a desire to help support COJ\, but we are especially looking for potential business or educational partners who understand the impact of grief on workplace productivity or the success of the students they serve. Please share this event with anyone who should know about the important work of Companions on a Journey. \nRegistration closes 11/17/23.
