Community Development Manager (Part-time)

The Community Development Manager will support Companions on a Journey with our mission of bringing hope, strength, and healing to those who have experienced the death of a loved one. The successful candidate for this role will serve as an effective ambassador for COJ’s mission and will facilitate COJ’s development and fundraising activities. Duties include event management, sustained and proactive outreach to local businesses, donor development, and coordination of COJ fundraising appeals, campaigns, and initiatives.

As a key member of COJ’s Operations Team, the Community Development Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of COJ’s annual fundraising plan, including professional and caring communications to a variety of COJ’s stakeholders, such as bereaved adults, children, teens, and families; community partners; board members; donors; volunteers; and fellow staff.  For additional details and to apply, click here.


Social Work Internships

We accept applications for Social Work Internships for the fall and spring semesters of each school year. Social Work Interns will support Companions on a Journey’s mission of bringing hope, strength, and healing to those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. We provide internships for undergraduate and graduate students of social work and request that students are available for two consecutive semesters. Working closely with our partner schools, families, and at our Pathway to Healing Events, Social Work Interns will gain particular skills that will enhance their expertise in working with the bereaved.  Interested candidates should email a cover letter and resume to
