THANK YOU to our volunteers, staff, partners, and golfers for an incredible day at the Vince Munafo Memorial Golf Outing!
Together we raised over $71,000! These dollars will help fund 223 school-based grief groups this fall!
The 2022 Vince Munafo Memorial Golf Outing would not have been possible without the continuing support of our presenting sponsor, ProLink Staffing. We are grateful for ProLink’s unwavering commitment to supporting the bereaved in our community.
We would also like to extend a big THANK YOU to our major event sponsors for their ongoing generosity – Chemed Corporation, Dr. Michael Kachmann and Mayfield Brain & Spine, Greg Berling/Berling Investments LLC, Rick Flick, Roto-Rooter, Queens on the Green, Spring Grove Funeral Homes, Cemetery & Arboretum, and Feldkamp Marketing.
Together, the support of these sponsors ensures that our school-based and adult grief groups will receive the necessary funding to continue to support those in need.
Thank you again for playing it forward!
History
In June 2021, our presenting sponsor ProLink Staffing celebrated 10 years in business. During those 10 years, ProLink founders Tony and Mike Munafo supported COJ’s mission in many different ways. It was important to them to be there for their mom, COJ’s Founder and Executive Director Sheila Munafo-Kanoza, who was their rock when their father Vince died in 1993.
2021 also marked the 7th year for COJ’s golf outing. Originating as an idea of Mike’s, he hoped to generate funding for COJ and to raise awareness of the importance and need for grief support. Together with family and friends, the COJ Classic was born and has grown to become the largest single fundraising event benefiting COJ’s mission.
As ProLink celebrated 10 years of growth and COJ prepared to celebrate its 25th year of service, COJ staff members believed it was a perfect time to offer Tony and Mike an opportunity to celebrate and honor their father, by renaming the COJ Classic in his name.
Vince Munafo Memorial Supporter’s Pledge
Our goal is to pay it forward to all who grieve,
to give as generously as we can, with what we have.
To always remember that life is about the people and not the stuff!
To remember and honor Vince’s legacy, as he is the reason
we all found our way here, as true Companions on a Journey.
