Soak Up the Sunshine!

As the seasons change from winter to spring, one thing we love at COJ is the extra sunlight during the afternoon and evening hours! Lack of sunlight can contribute to a low mood for many individuals. Now that the sun will be out more, we encourage you to find ways to take advantage of this! Consider eating your dinner outside, walking around the neighborhood in the evening, or meeting with friends on a porch or in a backyard. If it’s difficult to motivate yourself to get outside due to your grief or other factors, consider inviting a friend or family member to join you for accountability. Plus, just being with others will likely lift your mood too. And if you find it’s a bit chilly as the weather changes, don’t let that stop you. Simply bundle up so you can still get out in the sunshine. Your body and mind will thank you!
